Liann J. Kang has been awarded First Prize of 2024 Sweetwater/SEAMUS Student Commissioning Competition with her composition, Images (2023) for alto saxophone and electronics. The award includes a commission to compose a work which will be world premiered at the 2025 SEAMUS National Conference.
